Why Rights of Nature?

Nature, or mother earth, or Papuatūānuku, is not a thing to be bought or sold, but a living thing, a network of interconnected systems that together sustain us.

Humans do not have the right, not is not sane for us to keep on destroying that capacity like we have been, and no amount of money will make that destruction ok.

Nature has rights. And it’s time for us to live our lives and shape our societies around respecting that truth.
